Yumvelope contacted me and asked if I would be interested in hosting a giveaway on my blog. This giveaway runs until September 30th. The winner will get a “double-stuffed” November Yumvelope. I don’t think you can see the entry form on your dashboard, but it shows up just fine on my…
This girl was actually at the Stockholm fan meet as a staff member and she went to the Berlin fan meet. She was present throughout the hi-touch (where apparently a girl called Jimin fat & ugly) and said that this is a fake rumor and everyone was actually really nice.
Link to the exact moment in her video: Click
Can we kill this rumor now? We all know Jimin is perfection and anyone that thinks differently was obviously dropped on their head as a baby.
|Anonymous: you can get bunni back! just boot 16 animals and you can get her again!|
I know. I’m actually already working on cycling out villagers to get Flurry back. (I lost her the same way)
I was too preoccupied with moving in another villager, I forgot to routinely talk to all my current villagers and make sure nobody was thinking of moving. I logged on today to find Bunnie’s house gone. She was my favorite and my 1st villager in New Leaf. I’ve had her since the day New Leaf was released: 418 days ago.
I’m sad today.
Like the sunscreen last Sunday, I tested this over top of my salicylic acid gel, but this time, I also put makeup on. When I try samples, I don’t usually look up ingredients or anything about the product; so I can get a completely fresh & genuine review, but I had to look this sunscreen up to find out what they meant by ‘Natural Corrector’.
It claims its benefits are whitening the skin, and improving wrinkles. I looked up those two ingredients and they’re legit, and highly rated. Link is here if you want to read about the whitening one. And if you’d like to read about the wrinkle one, you can go here.
The sunscreen is a pretty, peachy color and has no sunscreen smell at all. It has more of a makeup scent instead. When rubbed in, it does leave a slight white cast & shimmer. Both eventually fade. The formula is not sticky, it is more dry, and dries into the skin almost immediately.
This sample had enough for the face, neck, ears, top of hands, and one lower arm. I wore this from 1pm-10pm and experienced zero itching, breaking out, and my face never got greasy.
I really enjoyed this sunscreen and now that I know what great ingredients are in this, I love it even more. This is definitely a top contender for my new sunscreen.
I tested this over my salicylic acid gel (the gel didn’t seem to disrupt the sunscreen and the sunscreen didn’t seem to disrupt the gel, so you can definitely apply the sunscreen over other products) and left it on until I was ready for bed. It didn’t cause me to break out, itch, or irritate my skin in any way. Also, it did not make my pores look enlarged. This sample had just enough for the face, ears, neck, top of hands, and lower arms.
It doesn’t have a particular smell, it just smells like any regular sunscreen. When first applied, it feels sticky, but not a wet sticky, it’s more of a dry sticky. When it dries completely (takes about 15-30 mins), it feels dry, but you can tell you have something on your face when you push on your skin. The longer it sits on your skin, the less you can feel it. I noticed that later in the day, when it had been on my face for many hours, that when I rubbed my face, it didn’t feel like I had anything on it.
Like most sunscreen, it’s white when rubbed on, but it quickly blends into your skin and you can’t see it at all.
This seemed like a decent sunscreen, I wish I had another sample so I could test it out for a bit longer. I have an Etude House sunscreen for next week’s Sample Sunday, so we’ll see how that one compares.
Just received this small gift from Light In The Box. I’m going to do a review on them; though not any time soon unfortunately. If you look at my sidebar, I have a list of upcoming reviews, and I tend to go in the order they’re listed. If you look, you’ll notice that there are quite a few reviews ahead of Light In The Box. In the meantime, check them out. They’re very affordable.
By the way, my new lightbox arrived last night. This picture was taken inside of it. What do you think? I love it. Next on the list are lights. I should be buying them this week.
Ordered a big variety pack of Umaibo from Japan and it just arrived! Going to do the pictures and tasting today and write up the review tomorrow.
I thought I’d post this update so everyone knows what’s going on and why I’m not posting reviews as frequently. It’s because I’m working on upgrading!
I’m not happy with how the review pictures have been turning out lately so I’ve ordered a new lightbox (one that is also travel friendly), and I’ve been doing a ton of research on lighting so I can buy some lights and have proper lighting.
After the lightbox and lights arrive(in about two weeks or so), next on my list is a camera. This whole time, I’ve been using my cell phone camera; which works pretty great considering; but with a high quality camera, the reviews will look more professional overall. I’ve also been working on a new review layout, to make the reviews look more professional and to provide more information on the products. If anyone has any other suggestions for improvement, please tell me your ideas!
To summarize the review updates:
I love this. It goes on so easily and hasn’t caused any reactions on my skin. It dries fairly quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling behind. I tried it on both of my hands and both of my elbows; and they feel so smooth and moisturized.
The lotion is very light and has a light floral scent that sticks around even after it’s applied and dry. It’s a faint scent, so it’s enjoyable, not overpowering in the slightest.
Because it did such a great job with just a small amount of product, there was plenty leftover, so I transferred the rest into a small container. It wasn’t until I transferred it into the container that I noticed the lotion had a pretty blue tint to it. I enjoyed this lotion, I would consider buying the full size.
If this hand cream is meant to whiten your skin or give the illusion of brighter skin, it fails. It does absolutely nothing for your skin but turn it into an oil slick. I imagine this sample would last very long if you only used a tiny drop each time; that’s all you’d really need.
The formula of this hand cream is awful. It’s extremely thick, and not in a nice creamy way, but in a heavy, chunky way. And no matter how little you put on, your hands are extremely greasy, by appearance and feel, and it never dries. It’s sticky forever. I had to wash my hands three times to get almost all of it off. Even after I washed it all off, I still had a reaction to it; my hands started itching. It claims to have a fruity smell, I don’t think it does. It does have some kind of a fragrance to it, but it’s not fruity. It’s more floral.
And here’s a wonderfully unflattering picture of my fingers so you can see how greasy the cream made me.
Here are the items I bought at NYC’s new TonyMoly:
Dear Me Waterful Cream
Dr. Tony AC Control Spot Patch
Prestige Snail Lip Treatment
Nail Basic #BS03 Nail Hardener
I’m testing the cream on half of my face right now, and I’m going to test it again tomorrow so that review will be written up and posted in two days. The rest of the items will be tested and reviewed after I’ve finished testing the cream.
And all the samples will each get their own post in Sample Review.
People kept walking by the front and ruining my pics and I was just very impatient and couldn’t wait to get in there, so these are the only pics I got. Also, the inside was VERY small, I had to constantly move to let people down the aisle because there was only room for one person at a time. I know my pics are crappy, but to be honest, I was way too preoccupied with getting inside and looking at all the stuff. If you want to see some great pics of the inside, check out fellow Asian beauty blogger Tracy’s post HERE
Just about every single item had a tester, which was very helpful. Two out of the four items I purchased were because there were testers available and I was able to see how the products performed.
If you’d like to visit the TonyMoly store, it’s in Koreatown on 32nd street; it’s on the same block as TheFaceShop/Kpop conjoined store.
So, I went to the TonyMoly that just opened in New York. I got a few things that I’ll be reviewing in their own separate posts and a ton of samples. I’ll be posting about it tomorrow, so keep an eye out for that.
THIS IS A SPONSORED POST.
I received this for free to do an honest review.
Name of box: Toothbrush Subscriptions
Type of box: Toothbrushes
Price: $3- $5
Frequency: Every one, two, or three months
The toothbrushes came in a small shipping bag. I feel like this is a waste of packaging since the toothbrushes take up hardly any space.
The toothbrushes were individually wrapped with their #FreshLife logo stamped on each one. They stamp a different word on each month’s toothbrush and the first word all customers receive is #FreshLife. I received ‘The Professional Toothbrush’ ($4) and ‘The Defender Toothbrush’ ($3).
Toothbrush Subscriptions is a way to get your toothbrushes without having to leave the house or remember when it’s time to replace your current one. Surprisingly enough, a lot of people have no idea that you’re supposed to replace your toothbrush every three months, or if it’s in bad shape, before then.
At this point in my reviews, I would normally take some screenshots of the website to show you step by step what to do. However, I contacted them to inquire about missing products on their product page and they informed me that their website was under construction, but you can still order items. I’m going to check their website daily and wait until it’s updated, then I’ll add in the new screenshots in this area right here. Until then, here is what the site looks like and the items available.
You’ll come across an introduction video and a big button that says ‘Choose Your New Toothbrush’. At the top of the page, you can also click ‘Shop Toothbrushes’, and further down the page you can click ‘View Our Toothbrush Collection’ and ‘Get Started’. All of these buttons will take you to the same place.
Like I said, the products aren’t all listed right here because of the website construction taking place. Until the site is updated, you can go here: Click to see the list of products offered, but not displayed.
There’s nothing extra special here, it’s just a service based purely on a convenience factor. I would recommend the service only if it’s a hassle for you to get to the store or if you can never remember when it’s time to replace your toothbrush.
